Audio/visual artist Jay Vernon's latest music production & song
Measha Bruggergosman-Lee’s double album “Laureate” side b “Planet Measha” which was nearly entirely produced by Jay and his collective Muzik Over Matter find the album here
One of Jay’s songs is being orchestrated by Aaron Davis for the NAC orchestra and was performed live at the 2024 governor generals performance arts awards in Ottawa June 8th which Jay will be in attendance alongside Measha & Maestro Fresh Wes. In 2021 4 of Jay Vernon’s original songs based on his homeland Nova Scotia “Bus Ride To The Khyber”, “Forgotten Coast”, “Stand Up X Fight” & “East Coast Party” were performed/recorded live on stage at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa with Canada’s National A.C. Symphony. Orchestrated by Edwin Huizinga & Aaron Davis festuring Opera Singer “Measha Bruggergosman-Lee” on the vocals, Snarky Puppy’s drummer “Larnell Lewis”, and “Rich Brown” on the bass guitar. The recordings, visuals & musical theme’s from the performance were used for a documentary series episode named after his original song “Forgotten Coast: Undisrupted Ep.1” now streaming on CBC Gem, which you can watch the trailer below
